This Giving Tuesday: Support young people committed to building facilitative leadership skills
This summer at our first virtual AGM, we collectively reflected on recent events that have impacted our communities. We discussed the underlying messages that were brought to light by these events, including the societal changes being demanded. One of the key themes that emerged was the need for greater inclusive, caring and facilitative leadership. ICA Canada is committed to continually working with individuals who are on an ever-evolving journey of transforming self and society for the collective good. If you’re able to support this mission by making a one-time or recurring gift, we would greatly appreciate your contribution which makes our work
possible.
Why develop facilitative leaders?
Research shows that facilitation is one of the most important skills for leaders, a skill that can be learned. Our mission since 1976 has been to support individuals in their leadership journeys’, specifically those who are committed to positive social change. It has become increasingly evident that courageous, compassionate, facilitative and inclusive leadership is needed for many of the problems that our world faces today.
We are honoured and thrilled to be working with individuals who are committed to this on-going leadership development. Our Courage to Lead programming, workshops and community dialogue sessions offer the opportunity to explore the transformative effects of embodying a conscious facilitative practice. Our hope is to scale this work and to reach as many young people as we can.
So, this year, our fundraising goal is to raise $5000 CAD before the end of 2020 to support young people in building and strengthening their leadership capacity. We’re excited to grow our program offerings in 2020 and your generous contributions will definitely help us realize this.
How your donation will make a difference:
- Your gift of $50 will contribute to two ICA Canada books for one youth participant.
- Your gift of $100 will provide one youth participant with the opportunity to participate in a 13-week Courage to Lead (CTL) online study.
- Your gift of $200 will support the delivery of one ICA Canada workshop.
**No amount is too small to make a difference, we greatly appreciate your kind generosity. Thank you so much for supporting our work*
