Register: An Introduction to the Consensus Workshop Method for Young Professionals

Description

  • Have you been tasked with leading a workshop or a meeting at work or in your community? Would you like to develop skills on how to be effective and engaging in these situations?
  • Have you ever been at a meeting or involved in a group project where things didn’t come together (or there was no synergy)?
  • Have you wondered about how to avoid groupthink and bring out the diverse, creative and innovative ideas on your team?
  • And finally, are you interested in bringing people together for a common goal, for instance, making a positive difference on your team or in your community?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we would like to introduce you to the Consensus Workshop Method (CWM). This 4-hour introduction to the Consensus Workshop Method will provide you with some valuable tools on how you can draw out everyone’s wisdom when leading a workshop or a group meeting/project.

Kindly note that CWM is typically taught in two days – however, with the generous support of our donors, we’re able to provide an introductory session to young professionals at a highly discounted rate. The market value of this four-hour session is $298.75; however, ICA Canada is pleased to offer this session for $25, thanks to our incredible donors. Spots will go quickly, so please register today to secure your seat.

“I have used the consensus workshop very successfully with a group, immediately following the training. A Board had set up a task force to develop and lead a congregation through a mission-clarifying process. The method was used to elicit their wishes for the outcomes (beyond the scope of work) of the process which were then gifted to the task force – and well received.” – Anonymous

” As a high school teacher, the focused conversation workshop allowed me to explore new ways to deliver the material while putting the students at the core of their learning experience. Since the workshop, my lessons have been much more engaging.” – Eddy Kamali, High school Teacher based in Toronto

“I have used ICA methods in preparing for lectures, student assignments, professional presentations and leading meetings, and in all events, they have proven to be invaluable in organizing and harvesting ideas to fruition.” – Dr. Laura MacDonald, Associate Professor, University of Manitoba
